    These armchairs date from at least my great-grandparents' time (well-to-do in Berlin, 19th century), and may be considerably older. I would love to discover more about them. One of them had its castors replaced with an extra length of leg about twenty years ago, at the same time as their re-upholstery.
    I have no idea what wood they are - could they be walnut?
    Grateful for your help and wisdom!
