Whenever we are on trips I sort of revert to my "blood hound" self and can't resist sniffing around for gas pumps and signs in any old suspicious barns and buildings. A couple of years ago while on a trip I went sniffing and found this beautiful old Wayne gas pump standing majestically along the barn wall. This barn is so filled with junk it is impossible to get very close to the pump but I got close enough to get this pix. It has taken me two years and a few trips to finally find the owner and get his phone number. I never cease to get excited when I retun to see it and the Fun of the Hunt never seems to diminish with age, but then I'm only 75, so who knows what the future might bring?
