    REUNION FLAG GAVE TO MY GREAT GREAT GRANDFATHER I BELIEVE IT WAS MADE BETWEEN 1890 AND 1920 ANYBODY HAVE A IDEA WHAT ITS VALUE IS?

      Lots of fakes out there. Do you have some documentation on the piece-- perhaps a period photo of it being displayed or used?

      The unit information is in an odd location.

      Some close up photos of the stitching, letters, grommets, any markings and of the other side would help in evaluating the flag.

      all I know is that his name was james polk craven,amazon sales a book cravens in the civil war he was pow twice fought in Vicksburg the flag is dirty because my dad used to tie it to a stick and run around the yard when he was little he lived to be 85 its been in our family a long time

      On 5/13/1862 he mustered into "K" Co. GA 34th Infantry
      (date and method of discharge not given)

      He was listed as:
      * POW 7/4/1863 Vicksburg, MS
      * Paroled 7/8/1863 Vicksburg, MS (No further record)

      Promotions:
      * 3rd Corporal 11/7/1862
