This lamp is 2.5 feet tall. The lamp is in the bottom in the reed base. It casts some interesting patterns when the room is dark and the lamp is on. I like to keep a blue light bulb in it. I consider it very art deco, but it can be classified as mid-century modern.

I used to first start to collect these in around 1978-9 and I remember, anything with a flamingo seemed highly collectible then. I surrendered my collection of flamingos years back when a good friend lived on Flamingo Road. Of course I have picked up a few, but I think they are still highly desirable. I used to have around 19 at one time in around 1980. One of the nicest things about them is that not a lot of them have survived and when I do see them I usually have never seen that design, like yours. Beautiful colouring on it.
