I've seen old matchboxes in a lot of variations, this one is sterling with a golf bag on the front, most are missing the tray. The writing on the back says S.Kirk & Sons/sterling/then it looks like a 90,I'm not sure what the number is,if it's missing a number possibly and I don't see the decimal so I'm not sure if the number missing would be before or after.

I don't think you could put a regular matchbox in this one, this one has looks like it had a little cardboard box in it with strikers on each side, the strikers are wore out but I hate to try taking the box out because the newer boxes seem to be a little bigger and I don't think they would fit in.The other gold colored one that I have is three sided and that one looks like you could slip it right over a box of matches.
