The Vicks VapoRub container is a classic beauty. I'm thinking that this item is from the late 50s or early 60s.

The graphics on the label indicate that at time, The Vick chemical company was a division of Richardson-Merrell, Inc. of N.Y., N.Y.

The container on the right held a compound from The Berman Pharmacy, of Broad St. & Columbia Avenue, Philadelphia, PA, and appears to be very old.

Yes, Elisabethan….Vick's has been around for a long time! Thank you for your comments, and for the love of the Vick's post.

It's still made in the USA, but the company lost its independence when it was acquired by Procter & Gamble back in 1985 :(

Hi, GeodeJem…thanks for your input re: Vick's availability in The UK. I'd guess that effective products receive world-wide acceptance :)

Yes, Vicks is still available here in the USA, but not in that original cobalt glass like this one is. I have 3 or 4 myself in different sizes. I think they all still have the vicks inside...and it still 'smells' like it's good. I wouldn't use it tho.

When I was 3 years old my mother would use that. That's back in the 50's wow I'm old.
