Group of seven elephants (Ebony?)

This is another "saved item" from the markets. I loved this piece as soon as I saw it. It consists of a large elephant with 6 small elephants surrounding her. It is quite heavy and very black wood except in direct light shows a warm red throughout. I think it is ebony but unfortunately missing the tusks.
The last photo is the rest of the gang, a heavy black stone tortoise/dragon (shows green highlights under light), a black stone heron, another wood elephant and a tiger which is a lighter red striped wood and I'm guessing bone teeth and eyes. Hope you like them.
