Sweet little carved Dachshund dog.
About 2" high.
His glass eyes are tiny, about 0.5mm.
Nicely stylised and carved.
Not sure if he's Black Forest, ANRI, or something else.
I'd guess his age to be first half of the 20th century.
If anyone can shed anymore light on him that'd be great.
Wherever he's from he's just adorable.

Do you think he's from the same area as the black forest bears? They have that choppy sort of carving too don't they?
Hi Karen. It has the same choppiness as the beaver. I do like it. I don't know enough about Black Forest to say for sure. maybe this style's inspired from the cubists movement in the '20/30s??
