Hi I have one I made a comment. You need to have a pick of the back It will be marked If its real gold. And cameo. I usually tap against my tooth and can tell if plastic or real shell. It looks real but need to see other side to say more.
haha, i just started tapping it on my tooth and than thought 'what sound am i looking for?' i will have to get another pic up, thanks! i sold a blue one just like it a couple weeks ago and a smaller one too that had pearls in it, not sure if they were real.
I have one almost exactly like this and it is marked, but can't read it. The chain is also marked. I need to know a value, if anyone knows. Thanks!
Thanks AR8 jason I have been very busy with the shop.Yes It looks not real.If you tap a real cameo and a plastic one on your tooth you will always be able to tell after you do and feel what a real one feels like.A real cameo has more weight than a plastic. But jason is right with the hot needle too. That will tell you. Also cameo colors will tell you.better cameos have better color.Well sorry Its not real.
best thing to do take it to a jewler the can tell u right away then u will know nobody knows for sure from just looking at a pic
But for sure as AR8 jason said a hot needle will always tell the truth.
wait hang on a minute everybody is missing the point alot of them was also made out of celluloid and brings a really good price just cause its a form of plastic dosent mean its not a original celluloid brooch there are many collectors of celluloid items
im just saying that there is celluloid cameos my wife collects them and believe me my billfold says they are plentiful lol. i didnt mean anything rude just wanted her to know that they made them in celluloid to
hey thanks for all the info!!! u guys help alot. even if it still the plastic or celluloid, i still have buyers for it :)
I have one excatly like it . The back even looks the same . It is not a real cameo . I think I got mine from Avon when I was a kid .
lol well, i picked it up at the thrift store for a dollar. picked up a blue one too a couple wks ago for 50 cents. i like them lol
Hello.
Today I bought one that looks just as this one does and after reading all of these and finding a replica I know for sure this is not real. Mine seems to have been replaced into an unfitting pure gold chain. Its a beautiful pendant real or not.
