This doll belonged to my grandmother. I guess it's a baby doll but it has teeth which I find creepy. LOL! It's body and limbs are bisque but it's head is some kind of plastic. I moved it from place to place but recently the back of the head broke. I don't know if there are people who repair dolls or if I can glue the piece back on it myself? It's under the bonnet so it wouldn't be very noticeable. Anybody else have this problem? I sure would love to know how you fixed it.

Anyone ever see a doll like this? I wonder if the head really goes with the rest of the body where the body is bisque and the head is celluloid or some kind of plastic?

Thanks Zowie! That's an excellent idea! I'll google it! I'm on Cape Cod in Massachusetts USA! Maybe there is a doll hospital here! Excellent idea!

I found a mark on the head ... Schutz-Marks Germany with a turtle. But the body is bisque.

The head is made of Celluloid a heavy celluloid and as they age they often break and are very fragile . Even shipping them is a risk . The body is correct to her . I worked at doll hospital many years . It could be patched but break in another place . Cute doll .

Thanks Manikin! I was starting to think the head was put on an older bisque body. The photos I see of celluloid dolls seems like the whole doll is celluloid. Have you ever heard of the maker? Schutz-Marks of Germany? I found nothing specific on the Internet. There is a turtle mark too.

You're right! It is a cute doll! I love the clothes on her. They are so old and the buttons are so tiny.

They look like her original clothes which is wonderful to find like that. I have a larger celluloid head doll she is one a kid leather body . Have never sold her because head could crack to easy to ship :-) soo she resides in a box for now .

      Isn't it frustrating?

I can't display her and I can't sell her. I guess she will sit in her bubble wrap for another thirty years!!

Kind of like mine :-( You can display yours though it won't hurt her mine is to big to fit in cabinet .
