    There is not too much I know about it other than made out of some metal possibly brass. She received it from a friend when she was in her early twenties. The feet are clawed. It is not much more in diameter than my hand which is slightly larger for a girl. I was curious to see what the actual labels and terms of this piece were called.

      Google images for antique beveled glass trinket box!
      They are often encountered here in France with pics of monuments in the windows.
      Métal is either brass or ormoulu (gilded)
