The Shelburne Museum in Burlington VT has a classy collection of dozens of old carved wooden carousel animals by the Denzel Co. When I visited two years ago they were all on display in the Museum's horseshoe shaped, tunnel like circus building - a more stunning (and slightly creepy) venue for them than the round barn, where a small handful of them are currently displayed as part of a special exhibit.
