    This bottle is 4 1/2 inches tall. Found it in a box of junk many years ago .
    It has a Dragonfly/ Lilypad scene. I can only guess that it was for perfume. Any intel on this would be appreciated .

      Well the style is most assuredly art nouveau. Does the metal cling to a magnet? As silver and gold won't respond to a magnet. It is very pretty.

      Beautiful bottle!

      DangerDana said "silver and gold won't respond to a magnet" : neither silvered brass, copper, pewter.... and other non iron alloy metals!

      The "magnet test" only gives an answer: if it is attracted, metal is NOT solid silver or gold.

      I just bought this exact bottle at an Estate sale yesterday. Mine still has the Maker on the bottom. Gold glued oval shaped says: Handcrafted for Silvestri, made in Taiwan R.O.C. Hope this helps.

      Scrolling down at the bottom, through the pictures of reproduced bottles, is Silvestri and our bottle. Sells for $25.00.
