This doll was found in Newport Rhode Island 6ft underground in one of the side streets I have no knowledge of what it is where it's from or who once owned it, I was lucky enough to have my boyfriend bring it home, it feels like porcelain & also feels like there is some type of liquid inside but no holes in it whatsoever

It resembles a "Frozen Charlotte" china or bisque doll, except your has clothing. I went out to the net to gather info and see some in the Etsy site which are in the Frozen Charlotte" category doll with clothes--but all I have ever known them to be is naked. I have one with arms on it by wire, There is also a German doll, known as a "Penny Doll" that looks like yours too. Time line 1865-1920 and yours would be the later version,of those. You can check the two types out yourself by typing both names into Google and making a discovery for yourself--Maybe you;ll be led to a further search. Frozen Charlotte was named for an incident where a little girl ,named Charlotte, fell into a lake and was frozed to death.

She is a stone bisque painted doll ,dates about 1920's-30s . Is the girl holding something I have seen her holding a dog . Often carnival prizes . The paint was never fired on so it could in time wear off .
More of a figurine , Nice to have saved her :-) example of how she would have been painted . Not your doll but similar .

It almost looks like she's holding an egg of some sort? Has an oval shape to it and "she" also looks more like a "he"

Hi Manikin---Your doll from the link, is also like quite a few on the Frozen Charlotte "line". That is right, the color may well have chipped off. A lot of what is taken for "Frozen Charlottes" on Etsy do have the colorful clothing . Give a peek to Frozen Charlotte link. ( I was surprized to see some dressed andmany dressed sold in vintage boxed lots. ) Well! this is a fun way to start the morning! Right? Cheers.

I think it is a girl wearing a dress. Love her disheveled socks :-) So cute the egg like object could be anything including a bunny , the objects were painted to look like animal but were not sculpted so much to represent the object . I had a girl with same hat . I may still have her I believe she is packed someplace if I find her I will post .

Goodmorning PostCardCollector :-) Yes I know about frozen Charlotte Dolsl and the most desired are the glazed china ones . They are earliest made in Germany but were nude :-) These little dolls I guess in a loose way could be called Frozen charlotte type but these are made much cruder and are more display dolls . Quite common but fun little pieces when they are dressed in character . Nice to met you and have enjoyed your posts !
