      David, I tried to email you information about the Ness switchboard, but it was returned. Thomas W Ness a Canadian inventor from Montreal had one patent filed in the US for a telephone switch, patent # 505,170 dated 21 Jan 1893. Later he formed a partnership in Montreal going by the name of Ness, McLaren & Bate located at 419 St. James Street. The company manufactured annunciators, telegraph, telephone instruments, fire alarms, batteries, and bells. I have a poor copy of there catalog that show's only one wall switchboard.
