    This large, heavy and well crafted award is a wonderful memento of The Reading Railroad. The base is of a hardwood, and the high relief text is on a brass plate.

    Having first been absorbed into Conrail, which then was taken over by the The Norfolk
    Southern, the Reading was primarily a North Eastern United
    States Anthracite Coal Carrier.

    Additionally, the Reading did have an extensive passenger
    service also.
