I have a pair of these lamps that belonged to my grandmother. She had always said that they were Limoge. I am not sure if they are or not. Is anyone familiar with the symbol that is painted on the bottom along with the words " Hand Painted in France"? Thanks.

I did further research on the markings and found that the lamps are not Limoge, but rather Antique handmade Sevres style French Porcelain lamps with gold paint. They were from around 1920. I was able to find the exact markings. Mystery solved!!

I have seen that cartouche with different letters inside used by many different firms, mostly French.

Yes, I noticed that too! And was able to find not only the exact marking but the lamp as well. Checking out the history is very interesting! Thanks for your comment!
