I used an old dress clip base that I am certain of it was a Haskell clip. When I got it there were still a few components attached to it but they were barely recognizable. I felt it was an honor to use that old clip base and I decided that - since red is my favourite colour - I'd use deep red West German glass beads. Furthermore there are vintage rhinestone clear ab rhondelles, and contemporary gold coloured bead caps.
The 2nd picture was taken with flashlight which makes the beads lighter and more transparent than they really are.
The 1st and 4th picture are very realistically depicting the true deep red colour.
