    Can anyone help identify the origin of this carving. The wood is quite soft and light both in weight and color. I think it is cedar. I have no idea about the motifs found on it. Help.

      Take a peek at Kenyan carved masks. I recently did some research on masks so it looks familiar, although it could have been one of the many other places I looked. There is a large production that comes from Kenya. All of their masks etc are hand carved tho. Hope I've led you in the right direction.
