I thought that I would share this unusual piece of trench art from my collection. I have a fairly extensive collection and now focus on the unusual. I purchased it about 4 years ago with several other uncommon trench art pieces.

The tankard is 8 1/2" tall. The handle is a copper driving band from a large size artillery round. The base of the tankard has been punch engraved to "Mullheim" of the "7 INFTR RGT". Along with this piece, I also acquired Mullheim's trench art spiked helmet and a service memorial (unfortunately destroyed during shipping).
Great Info...aside from The "Destroyed" Part. Thanks For Sharing.

fab item i sold a trench art lighter last year i paid 2british pence for it and sold it for 37 british pounds was stunned as i knew nothing about it it had an embossed front with the order of the garter on it actually sold it to someone in the states..
Trench art has some avid US collectors willing to pay good money for unusual items. Lighters seem to turn up more frequently in the UK and most US collectors would like at least one example for the collection!
If the lighter price suprised you, you would be shocked at the prices for more unusual pieces like planes, tanks and submarines.
