I purchased this trunk three years ago and was told very basic info about it I do know its from the 1800's. There is the original tray that can be lifted out of the trunk aswell. I am wanting to eventually sell it but I don't know to much about it. The lady who I purchased it from had actually brought it into the antique roadshow but I have no way to track that info down. Can someone please help me I need to know the value, possibly who made it and where it was made?? Any info helps I appreciate your help.

Your trunk is a leather covered, cross slat (the slats on top go from front to back) travel trunk from the late 1890's. It has a nice, complete interior with, fall in tray, jewelry box, covered hat-box, covered set-up tray and covered parasol compartment. Many makers made trunks like this, but without a label, or tag, there is no way to know who. I can guarantee you the previous owner did not learn that much from the Roadshow. Most buyers do not care where or exactly when it was made, only that they like it, so your best bet is to have a lot of photos. The price you get will depend on where and how you sell it. Craigslist gets you less than a high end retailer, and local pick up gets you more than having to ship it. I would post on eBay (local pick-up) and Craigslist and see what happens. Right now, and for a while, trunks are going pretty cheap, so you can probably expect about to get $200 to $400, but closer to $200.
Hope this helps, and if you go to this page there is a detailed diagram of the interior/exterior trunk parts.
