This item is not mine it is my parents. They do not know the manufacturer or even what the item was intended to be used for. The one thing they do know is that it is old. My parents are in their upper 70's and they acquired the piece from my father's parents who acquired it from an older neighbor way back in the late 40's. I think this is a candy dish and my parents kind of do too. The piece is 13" tall and 8" across at its widest point the base is 5" in diameter. It is clear glass. I find this a very odd piece since I have never ever seen anything like it. Any help identifying this piece would really make the folks happy. Thanks for looking!
