This necklace got my attention because of the unusual shape of the beads and the colour. The beads are Bakelite. I do not like the necklace at all but I like the Bakelite beads! I hate the string and the three little rose beads. I am planning on re-stringing the beads and make a necklace that would look more like typical Bakelite necklaces.

Any ideas would be very welcome.

    Thanks for looking:)

Great beads! I agree this would look better restrung on cotton thread or maybe even better on a quite thick silkthread. I've bought some nice Griffin silkthread on Amazon.com, they have all kinds of colors. On Youtube you can find instruction videos on how to thread with knots between beads. Good luck!

Like the citrus-y color of the beads, freiheit. :)

Elisabethan, that's a good tip, I may look for the knotting video you mentioned. :)

There are several ways and videos. Just search 'how to knot against a bead' or 'how to thread beads with knots' or something like that. Look and find a way that you prefer. :)
