Can anyone please shed some light on this item? When it was made,? etc. Is this a perfume bottle? 18 or 1900's?

Not 1800 but 20th century, for tooth brush (tooth brush holder), part of a travel set as this one (particularly luxuous!):

Thank you Kyratango. I have seen these bottles for these sets, and while your answer makers perfect sense, my bottle is only 3/4" inside diameter. I could not fit a toothbrush in it. What else could it have been for?

Ha! I didn't realize it has a so small diameter :-/
Now, I'm puzzled too :-)
For sure, it wasn't for liquid as the lid would not keep it.
