I have a new doll, she was a gift and I honestly don't know much about her. But I find her very interesting. She is 28" tall and has some sort of porcelain or composite mold for her head, arms and shoes. The rest of her body is fabric which is stuffed with straw. I think that is my favorite part.

Hopefully someone might know more about her. She is 28" tall and has some sort of porcelain or composite head, arms and body. What I find fascinating is her body is made of fabric and is stuffed with straw. I would love to learn more about her.

She is a boudoir doll with composition face .These dolls were meant to sit on a bed . They come in many levels of quality , French silk made face and Lenci did some of the finest. Yours dates around 1930-50s and is fairly common face , Nice find ,
Yours would be considered one of the last of the era for these dolls . Would help to see legs and feet . Older ones had cloth real high high shoes that came off . Later ones molded high heel feet and shorter legs . They always had heavy makeup like yours .

One similar to yours but if you search google you will see the differences in them by years and who made them .

Thank you so much for your insight. I will attach another picture of her legs.

Yours is by legs the end of the era of these dolls Many companies made them so difficult to say which one but she has the body of the lower quality Bed dolls and were mass produced . The material and feet tell a lot about her to collectors who prefer the long thing legs with real shoes and silk face which are French . I believe yours to be made in US .
