This watch belonged to my Great Grandfather. It's a Waltham watch and quite heavy to the touch. It's diameter is around 2.25". It has what looks like gold-leaf markings on it. I have looked at various sites and have not found another one like it. This will be passed down to my nephew who shares the name, but would love to find out more info about the watch before passing on. Thanks!

He was born in 1885 and passed away some time after 1958.

If you remove the back cover of the watch and give us the serial number off the movement (not the case cover), we can give you the information you are looking for.
A good clear photo of the movement would be great.

Dave, how do I do that? It seems to be one piece. Well, it might separate...do I turn it and how? Sorry...don't have any experience with this.

Ikeman, it most likely screws off counter clockwise.
