I bought this camera in Holland for 235 euro. The only information available is the builder (?): Gilles-Paris, late 19th century. I would appreciate some more information about this camera. Anyone?

This is a fairly standard front focusing French body pattern. Similar cameras were made by Mackenstein and a couple other makers. Probably dates to around 1900. If this is a larger (wider) format, it looks like a stereo lens set could be mounted. On top of the body is an accessory collapsible Newton finder. - Rob
