Old bottle my uncle had in his garage. There is a ripoll in Mexico and Spain, but not sure what kind of liquor it was, don't think it was tequila but not sure. Probably from the forties or fifties.

Label reads:Ropoll selecto 1910 guarda especial/la case ripoll/fue establecida en San Juan Bautista/hoy Villahermosa,Ta-banco,en el ano 1870/fabricates y distribuidores jose vicens ferrer s.de r.l/or.vertez 344.mex.d.f/reg.d.s.p no 1470

Nice! In this document from the fifties they are listed as producers of "Vino de Pasas" i.e. raisin wine or straw wine. Sweet dessert wine.
