I just got this at an estate sale of an older woman (probably early 90s - her daughter appeared to be in her early 70s). Most everything in the home was from the early 1970s and before. So, I do believe this teapot is at least 50 years old. A search on the internet comes up with inconclusive answers. Most sites say this is Art Deco Bauhaus attributed to Cowan Pottery. A few sites say some of these were made in Chile. My questions are these: Has anyone ever concluded that this teapot was designed and made by Cowan Pottery? And, if made in Chile, is it a reproduction or original, and, how old? Thanks!
