    WWII started out with Panzer Mk IV D with a low velocity 75mm gun. It wasn't useful against other tanks. More for attacking infantry. It turned out to be the work horse of the German army as it was able to be up gunned to the H model with a high velocity 7mm gun. It also had quite a bit of extra armor to protect against bazookas and other such weapons. Also the spare tracks were used as additional armor.
    The D model is seen on the left and the H version is on the right.
    In the last photo is the Tiger I in between the other two. The Panzer IV w3as often mistaken for the much larger Tiger as they were a bit similar.

      I remember seeing a documentary about a German Panzer submerged in water in Poland that was pulled out and restored. Did you see that?

      Yes Trey I did see it. I think it was a Jadgpanther. I'll look it up.

      Hmmmm it could have been either a T34 captured by Germans or the Stug III. I'l look up more later.
