I found this beautiful amber coloured piece of what I believe to be Chalet Glass at a Kingston Value Village secondhand store. I fell in love with it as soon as I laid eyes on it! It is in perfect condition, as far as I could see. The hardest part was getting the for sale sticker off ! Took photos of it on a chair because it is rather big....about 28 inches long ! I believe it is supposed to be a vase of sorts. It looks beautiful with dried flowers in it . As I'm an artist, I just love the beautiful shape and curves. Sorry that I can't take better photos right now of it , for this site but I have it in storage right now in another province , so will be awhile before I see it again !

Beautiful Piece -- Looks a bit more like ( Canadian ) LORRAINE Art Glass. I find that Lorraine glass has more lobes in the base/bottom....or like big toes on the base.

Read/look @ Deborah site here. She has written some books on Chalet Glass :

Thank you, antiquerose, for the info and link ! Yes, it definitely has the "big toes" like you said.........and it is heavy ! This is such a wonderful site for meeting others and finding out more about our 'treasures"........thank you again ! Much appreciated !
