This is a beatiful and unusual O & E G Royal Austria (backstamp below bowl in green from with wreath; word Royal in wreath, O&EG above and Austria, used between 1889-1918, third picture), fully hand painted, in the inside and outisde (first and second pictures). It has a diameter of 26 cm and 7 cm of heigh, probably for a risotto ai frutti di mare o a la pescatora. The diversity of shells and sea animals is almost fantastic and the acquamarine (the light blue with a bit of green) is wonderful. The Raised dot pattern was painted with gold borders (that has gone away, if you click on the second picture you will see it) the scalloped edging seems one of the most usual blanks.

Fabulous dish, kivatinitz! It must have been amazing with the gold gilt trim. I love that shade of aquamarine. :)
