    Hello

Could someone help me identify this vase and when and perhaps by who it was made.

I think it's bronze with some kind of dark patina, the details of the work is very fine. I think it's Japanese. It has this great salamander or lizard who's looking to catch a rather large fly on the top of the lip.

I've had this for more than 30 years after it was given to me by my grandmother who traveled in the far east for most of her life, my mother remembers it from her childhood, she seemed to remember there being a pair of them, but i only have the one.

    thank you
