Old Dutch pewter measuring cups.

I have purchased a set of old pewter measuring cups to adorn my daughter's kitchen. I have researched online and found the mark to be from a maker Harm Amsing from Groningen, Holland, but there were at least two Harm Amsing's in the family tree, and at least two types of mark. Would anyone know which era this mark might have been from? Also, would knowing what era it is from give me a better idea if these items are safe to use in the kitchen, or whether they should be purely for decoration.
