I saw this ring while surfing the net, it screams Bernard Instone at me, But I would value a second opinion. As usual no silver or maker marks.
The leaves are very similar to Instones work and the prong setting I have also seen on his work. The back to me is very different for me, it's very neat which in my opinion his work always was, but I haven't seen this simple design.
The Moonstone was one of his favourite stones to work with, there are many pieces of his work using them. This one is large 2 cm long and 1 cm wide. I have tried to get the different colours coming through this stone, there are some minor scratches on the surface, but other that it is in good condition . Unfortunately, which I know to well, someone as given it a good clean on the top, it's still has some dirt, tarnish underneath.
    Many thanks for looking

Thank you for totally being in love with this ring Kyra, but in your opinion could it be Bernard Instone. I know you follow my post, from them would you think it could be his work. Don't mean to put you on the stop :-)

I do find this ring a mystery, on one side there are berries on the other none.

Agree the leaves seem similar to his!
But definitely not my area of expertise, I'm very new at Arts and Crafts pieces :-)

On my other posts we have talked about misattributions, I would hate to say this is Bernard Instone and it's not. I had that problem with the Rhoda Wager ( circle of friends ) my fault I should have read it probably, even so I love the brooch. We shall see if anybody else, Jewels1900 can help. Thanks Kyra

I have asked a person I know who is knowledgeable in Instones work, he thinks it is his work. He also said that Liberty at the same time used this type of Moonstone, he Mentioned the word Schiller, I had no idea what it mean't so I have put a link above to explain the word, from my point of view I found it very interesting.

From all the research I've done on the other two rings, and with a very, very close look at all the components of your piece (a magnifying glass too), I would agree that it is an Instone. All the tell-tale elements say the same, to me anyway.
      A beautiful, beautiful ring.

Wow, Gillian, thank you for taking a interest in this ring and yearbyear 2 rings. It's really nice to know that you have taken a lot of time and effort into solving these items. Thank you yet again.
