its wood inlay dread
very small 8 cm long and 3 cm high
carved band on this box like snakes
beauthifull lock on the front.
dread is inlay into the wood
i have never seen something like this
i love my small box
i used it for jewelry

It looks Middle Eastern - Egypt, Morocco, or somewhere around there. India also makes lots of wooden boxes with metal decoration.

The wood looks like some Indian items I have. I was told the wood is called sheshem wood.
