What would help to understand this post, and the area in question, would be to read my previous post in its entirety. Pic one above has a collection of arrowheads and spear points, which since there is no flint in Florida, the north Fl. Indians traded with Indians from Georgia and the Carolina's to get these items. All you see here is a minimum of 500 years old and possibly close to a thousand years old.
In the center of pic one and alone in pic three is a portion of an interesting stone tool or stone carving found near my house here in burial mounds. Also probably the most interesting of all the artifacts I have is the remains of two pipes that were evidently traded to the Indians here but clearly show a designers initial of a "W" or an "M" depending on which way you look at it. The pipe piece on the right in pic 4 shows clearly on its left side, the beginnings of the bowl from this old pipe. These pipe pieces were also found in a burial mound I excavated at age 12 along with pieces of ornate pottery pieces and stone tools and weapons.
When I was little, I was a regular "Little Indiana Jones" right down to the whip, the hat and the snakes, way before any movie about that came out. This was my life at the time. Anything like this. along with anything Egypt or Mayan or Aztec was exactly where I was coming from at that point in my life. Looking at this stuff pictured may not mean squat to most of you, but this was my life at the time. I could definitely tell you some stories about my childhood, right on up to my teenage years when I forsook all to take up the sport of surfing. And then the saga continued. The only problem about age 14 to 28 is, about half of it, I can't repeat. Oh well...
