Well, this is china set number two, of three. This was my moms and there is a large volume of pieces. I looked in the kitchen cabinets where this set is stored, and it appears she has place-settings for 8 but I counted 14 cups & saucers. (must have had that many of those for her many ladies formal "tea party's she hosted. Also seems strange to have eight of everything else, but 12 of the coffee (tea) cups & saucers. In addition she has about 5 different size bowls besides what I would call a soup or salad bowl and 3 platters that I can see without taking all of it down. I know nothing about china but I think this pattern is noted on the bottom of the pieces, and is is called "Marquis"??
P.S. Don't worry cis, I plan on using it. LOL
