Hello CW community. Another piece of jewelry I found in a box I bought at a yard sale last weekend. Not sure if the beads are Amber or glass. The lighter ones look like shell and wood. The necklace is very heavy. Any idea of its age or maker? Thanks for looking!

That's glass, mixed with some shell and some wood. I posted a multi-strand green glass necklace a few days ago. It weighs 2,000 lbs, LOL! Yours looks like 1970s.

Aloha, VegasII - I'm not sure what I will do with my one ton necklace yet. My hair is long and it gets all tangled up in it. Aside from that, I get a pain in my neck after awhile, lol! I don't think your necklace is ugly - it just lacks some color. :) You could buy a few more, then find a huge brandy snifter glass and fill it with glass pieces and put it in a sunlit window! LOL there ya go.....!

Aloha Friday, Efesgirl. What a great idea...I have several beaded necklaces that I could use to fill several brandy snifters. It's funny you should mention snifters..I bought 6 snifters from the 60's etched with colonial ships (now they have a purpose!). Have a wonderful day!! Many thanks!!!
