This cap was issued to a Hitler Jugund member during WW II. The HJ was comprised of boys ages 14 to 18 who assisted the various branches of service throught the war. Near the end of the war when Germany was nearly defeated, groups of HJ boys alone were called on to defend strategic areas. Many died needlessly, and many surrendered knowing the war would soon be over.
