Looks like something one would use in a blacksmith's shop. Maybe for flattening pieces of metal. Unsure, would like some help.

Had one of these awhile back. Does this have a cavity in the faces? The one awhile back didn't & I've forgotten the verdict.
Two possible answers, brazing tongs or hair straighting iron.
