I'm not a great lover of clip earrings, but I would certainly wear these. The Chrysophrase centre stones are a wonderful green colour, I've tried to get a photo showing this. The silver around the the stone have seven berries and in between, are filgree scrolls. The back is beautiful so neat, there are two 800 hallmarks, unfortunately no makers mark. I do feel that they are from Germany, I would like to know if I'm correct in thinking this, if anybody would have a idea who made them, that would be fantastic.
    Many thanks for looking.

Living so close to the German border, I see alot of jewelry from Germany. The silver minimum is normally 835. The 800 stamp normally points somewhere in the direction of Indonesia. Bali, perhaps. These earrings really are gorgeous, and I would wear them too if I thought they wouldn't slide off my earlobes. :-)

These are simply gorgeous! I love the silver work on them. Not that my little white ones are any comparison at all but they do seem to have that same marking on the back. I could not get food photos that day so I will try again in a minute to put better photos so you can see the markings. When I researched them, I was led to a site that led me to believe they were from Italy. I'm not positive about that tho. I'll go re-shoot the pics so you can see what I mean.

      Lovely Jean.
Bonnie I'm not doubting your knowledge it's just I thought that 800 silver is known as German silver because that was what they used to make?

I have to agree with Karen, Elesgirl, Germany did used 800 silver, also lots of European countries did. I'm interested in what shareurpassion mentioned about the earrings, may be the came from Italy, Italy did use 800 Silver. I've been researching the name Peruzzi Florence, unfortunately these earrings have no makers mark, but some of their work is similar, Peruzzi Florence did come from Italy.
Thank you Kyra, Elesgirl, shareurpassion I'll be interested in seeing your earrings so we can compare. Thank you Roy for your lovely comment, last but not least Karen, thank you.
