This is a great little pot and very unusual to me as when you remove the top it inserts right to the bottom of the pot ??
It also has holes all around the insert part as in pics ..
I googled it and all I can find is butter pots , but they havnt got the holes in but I suppose it could be a variation of one..
It's 5"h x 4-5"round and signed on the base L-S and has a sticker on the side as in pics ..
    Thanks for looking :-)

If the 'knob' of the inner pot is really a funnel or opening (I can't tell from the photos) then they're probably for making fromage frais/fromage blanc at home.

Hi sklo42, the lid of the pot is sealed no hole the whole inside lifts out as the lid and inside is one piece , but it has holes in the sides !!
The ones I've seen for butter hav'nt the holes ??
Thanks for your kind comments .. SD ;-)

Hi, Sorry to be no help whatsoever!!! The village LA SAUVATAT du DROPT has a web site but no mention of the pottery. I thought they might have had a display of their wares. Very interesting though.

Any time sklo42 all info is good , all views are cool ....!
I appreciate your help many thanks , I've been on that site and it seems a waste of time trying to find the pottery pics , they're possibly mass produced out there , you just don't see them here !!
Again many thanks for your love & help ;-))
