I bought this ring recently recently. It is amethyst and pearl. Can anyone give me some idea of it's age? What are the markings aside from the obvious 14K

Looks to be contemporary. If that is an S9. then it could simply be the ring size.
The mounting looks to be more from the 1940's possibly.
I think the marking is upside down in relation to the 14K . Looks like FS to me. What makes it look like a more recent piece? A revival piece then?
Any other suggestions?
