    I was lucky enough to acquire this rare and unbelievable set of early butter stamps. These are handmade and hand carved in early American chip carving style. The four pieces have been together for at least two generations of collectors. I intend on keeping them together for a third.

    Not sure about what kind of wood it is, perhaps butternut? Enjoy!

      BHock45, I never had even taken a second look at butter stamps until about a year ago. Now, I'm fascinated with them. These, that you've posted are simply awesome!!

      jscott, thanks for the compliment! I was lucky to get the chance to buy these. These are quite valuable, most people love the lollipop style, as they are early.
