This helmet was brought home by a U.S. Army vet after the war. It is the standard model M 35. At one time this helmet had two decals as issued, nut in 1941 soldiers were required to scrape off the red,white, and black national colors because this made troops in the field too easy to spot. Not all soldiers complied with this order.
