This is from the "Collection Francaise" collection made in the USA. I have previously acquired this lamp from a wonderful woman. The value in her eyes was priceless as it laid on her side table for many years. I have searched the entire internet and have not found this piece. I am currently trying to understand the book value it holds and whether or not this is the only lamp of its kind. Any information on this beautiful lamp would be appreciated.

This one does not bring to mind if I have seen an exact one. I have a lot of knowledge of the maker which is J.B, Hirsch. That is their mark "collection francais." This would have been after 1966 when that foundry was making these spelter lamps. They were the ones who dug up the original molds, buried in the basements of the french foundries during the second world war. There is lots of info on the net but a lot of it is speculation especially is someone is selling one of these. The set of statue encyclopedias has a lot of info on the foundry, since he got the info straight from the foundry in the later 70's, before the internet smudged the info.

This does look like some of their production from the mid 70's to early 80's. That is when many of their production was just starting on some of these statues. They were all produced in numbers not in singles. A lot of the bases like these were used in some but not all production.
