I have this carriage light and want to know what the history is of such an item. The photo showing the two I found on the internet and included to show what the light looked like with glass and wiring. What trains carried such lights, how old would it be. Thank you.

Do you still have this? I believe it is the housing of an old gas “Pintsch” light.
