I think this is such an attractive piece. This is a solid silver hair ornament, with its wonderful enamelling.
These are the sellers description. Made of silver, of a archer's bow form, with petal shaped tip, with flowers and foliage decoration, enamelled in kingfisher colours. It was made in the Qing dynasty circa 1890. This orniment measures 9.8 cm in length and weighs 10 grams.
If anybody has any knowledge of the hallmarks I would love to know what they say. They are on either sides of the back on this piece.
A very simple design but very effective, it looks great in my hair.

Wonderfully clear Hallmarks. I've tried but I can't imagine how it stays in the hair. Do you have a picture to show it in your hair?
I will try tomorrow Gillian, at the moment it is dark here in Spain, I need the light for the photos. I might not just get it right, but it does stay in the hair, I need to experiment more.

Thanks Karen and inky for passing by and leaving great comments. If you look at the links I've used above, it rare to see Barrettes with as much enamel left as this one which I'm really pleased about, the colours are much better in real life.

What a beautiful hair fastener, I'd certainly use it if it were mine. And yes, the enamel is exceptional, especially when compared to the others. :)
