    3 1/2" from top to bottom. Wooden handle , stainless steel bottom, spring and screw between 2 pieces.

      "Mo better". I see threads & a spring between the 2 metal pieces. Can you screw this down where the plates are closer or further apart? Right now, I'm at a complete loss. No markings?

      yes, it can be screwed up and down. The 2 pieces mesh together when screwed down.

      Well, I asked & got the answer, but not sure it helps me. Clamping 3 wire loops? Probably a specialty purpose.

      No markings at all. So you think it might be a wire clamp?

      Wire, rope, cable etc.. I'm just speculating on what uses it could have. Maybe left by aliens to confuse us.

      Thanks for your help. the mystery continues. The handle appears to be made of Teak to me. Seems like a strange wood to use for a clamp, doesn't it?
